Error description

  • IN APAR IZ74746 a new feature was introduced to allow blocking
    of browsers from accessing HTTP Access Services by coding their
    User-Agent string in the http.device.stanza file used by the
    Lotus Mobile Connect 6.1.4 Connection Manager.  This function
    was inadvertently disabled, and was not discovered until
    recently.   This APAR is being written to reinstate the feature.

    The monitor interval was disabled for http access services
    subsystems.  This affected not only the blaclisting function
    but the IDLE checker and dead port cleanup functions which
    may lead to memory leaks.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A formal fix for this problem will be included in all product
    releases AFTER 6.1.4.  Until that time a temporary fix may be
    obtained from the IBM Lotus Mobile Connect Support Center.
