Error description

  • When trying to use codepage Cp1153 the following is seen:
    java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: Cp1153
     at java.lang.StringCodingᄑEncoderCache.getEncoder(StringCoding.
    java:286).StringCodingᄑEncoderCache.getEncoder(StringCoding.java
     at java.lang.StringCoding.getEncoder(StringCoding.java:456)
     at java.lang.StringCoding.encode(StringCoding.java:634)
     at java.lang.String.getBytes(String.java:641).java:456)
    .
    This occurs as code page 1153 is not currently supported.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Code page support for Cp1153 is being added. This means that the
    following new classes are delivered:
    sun.io.ByteToCharCp1153 and sun.io.CharToByteCp1153
    

Problem conclusion

  • The release has been updated to include Cp1153 support.
    .
    This feature will be fixed in:
    5.0.0 SR12
