Error Message: While compiling the testcase, customer seems to be getting the below error :- GenericTest2.java:23: type parameters of <T>T cannot be determined; no unique maximal instance exists for type variable T with upper bounds T,java.lang.Object return readObject(new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(file))); <HAT>01 1 error . Stack Trace: N/A . As per customer, the Java file seems to be compiled properly when compiled in Eclipse.
Local fix
Problem summary
The issue seems to be happening as Inference was failing for type variable return constraint and hence javac throws error.
Problem conclusion
The JVM was updated properly to handle type variable return constraint. This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.0 SR9
