Problem summary
The problem is caused by the ulimit data being incorrectly formatted in 32 bit JVMs.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.0 SR8 5.0.0 SR12 . The JVM has been updated to correct the formatting of user limit data in javacore. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20100124 or later
