Use an IPv4 configuration on IBM i.
Problem summary
The problem is caused by the Inet6AddressImpl.getLocalHostName() API. When run on IBM i, the native method uses the wrong logic to retrieve the FQDN.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 5.0.0 SR12 . The Inet6AddressImpl.getLocalHostName() API has been updated for IBM i to make a better attempt at retrieving a FQDN. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20091223 or later
