Local fix

  • -Xjit:disableGlobalVP,disableLocalVP. Please note however, that
using these options may result in decreased performance of the
application.

Problem summary

  • The problem is due to the way the value propagation optimization
in the JIT compiler generates information at control flow merge
points inside loops. The bug causes the optimizer to miss
certain definitions of a variable and the optimizer incorrectly
removes branches based on the wrong analysis.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
5.0.0 SR13
6.0.0 SR9
.
The JIT optimizer has been updated to prevent the problem.

Install build 20100629 or later
