Error description
When generating an assembler language file with the -S compiler option, the compiler is encountering an internal error: $ xlC -S -c foo.C xlC: 1501-230 (S) Internal compiler error; please contact your Service Representative Removing -S and compiling to an object file is successful, but attempting to disassemble the object file with the compiler's 'dis' utility causes a segmentation fault: $ /usr/vac/exe/dis foo.o Segmentation fault $
Local fix
