Problem summary

  • The Health Center requires the JIT sampling thread to be active
    in order to produce method profiles. Up until Java 6 SR8, the
    JIT
    disables the sampling thread under some circumstances that puts
    the JIT into the so called "Full Speed Debug" mode. Examples of
    such cases include the use of debuggers (such as JDWP) or
    monitoring tools (such as Wily Introscope or Mercury). In these
    cases Health Center was not able show any method profiling
    information.
    Starting with Java 6 SR8 the JIT sampling  thread will no longer
    be disabled in Full Speed Debug mode.
