Local fix

Problem summary

  • RMIC generates IDLs with duplicate attributes which throws error
    on compilation(IDLJ). The incorrect IDL - Myclass.idl is as
    below:
    valuetype Myclass {
            private long errorno;
            factory create( );
            void errorNo( );
        };

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    5.0.0 SR12
    1.4.2 SR13 FP5
    1.4.2 SR13 FP5 (z/OS 64-bit)
    1.4.2 SR13 FP5 (Linux AMD64)
    1.4.2 SR13 FP5 (Windows AMD64)
    6.0.0 SR8
    .
    The logic of generating IDL names was modified to correctly
    resolve the name collisions and hence generate IDL's compliant
    to specifications.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20100328 or later
