Problem summary

  • When user tries to set the system properties like os.name or
os.version or os.arch property values from command line, those
values are ignored and those properties are always set to
default values during runtime.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
5.0.0 SR12
6.0.0 SR7
.
Observed that these properties are not set with writable flags
and this made the retention of default values.

To obtain the fix:
Install build 20091202 or later
