• WSH monitor - intermittent hang or crash possibly related to
  memory or threading issues

  ITCAM-ISM 6.0.0 (Netcool/ISM 2.4 build 50) on Windows 2003
  
  Symptoms :
  
  wsh.log has numerous of entries of the following before crash:
  
  <timestamp> Debug: Queue is empty - waiting
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Those using WSH to run JavaScript
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WSH may intermittently hang or crash
  * after running for some time
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply 6.0.0-TIV-ISM-LA0052 or migrate to
  * the Robotic monitoring supplied by ITCAM for Transactions :
  * Response Time
  ****************************************************************
  A small amount of memory is leaked during the initialization of
  Microsoft's JScript.dll which can eventually prevent the monitor
   from functioning.
  

Problem conclusion

• The WSH monitor will now maintain persistent threads running
  the scripting engine, rather than creating and tearing it down
  for each polling thread.
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
