APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When user includes the header file <tr/tuple>, compilation error
    occurs.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • The header file contains partial specializations with
default template arguments, as well as codes with empty array
dimensions [] or template dependent array dimensions.

This causes two problems during compilation. First, the
default template arguments are not being accepted in a partial
specialization. Second, the empty array dimension is matching
    a dependent array dimension.

As a result, the compiler shows: 1) an error indicating too few
template arguments are specified when a default should have
been picked up, and 2) an error indicating a declaration is
    already defined.

Problem conclusion

  • We will develop a fix to address this issue, which will be
    applied to a future PTF.
