when orb tracing was disabled.

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The problem is caused by the current tracing design in JDK50's
tracing utility which computes parameters (a costly operation)
even when tracing is disabled.
The computation of these parameter even when tracing is disabled
contributes to a higher CPU utilization.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This defect will be fixed in:
5.0.0 SR9
.
The tracing mechanism has been modified to be lighter on the CPU
consumption.

To obtain the fix:
Install build 20080829 or later
