The TPC DLA incorrectly creates the IdML book entry for a storage device with a "\+" instead of a "+". The extraneous "\" causes the bulk load of the book into the CCMDB to fail with the message: 1012E: The 'target' does not exist SPM Versions Affected: 6.2.1
Open the IdML book in a text editor and replace all instances of '\+' with '+'. For example: cdm:storage.TapeLibrary-126.96.36.199:IBM\+3584\+1310008+16 should be updated to cdm:storage.TapeLibrary-188.8.131.52:IBM+3584+1310008+16)
TPC DLA 6.2.1 book fails to bulkload into TADDM 5.1.4.
Two separate TPC API calls are used to get T apeLibrary id from TPC - these were originally inconsistent, cau sing the bulkloader think the Tape Library Id is missing in the CIMom to Tape relationship. We put in a work around in the earli er release to overcome this issue. TPC later fixed this problem, and the work around is no more needed. Backed off this work aro und in this APAR.
Manually update the TPC DLA IDML book to match th e tapelibrary ids in the main CI and the CIMOM manages Tape rela tionships.
