IZ09914: CHILD WORK ORDER DOESN'T INHERIT STATUS CHANGE OF PARENT WORK ORDER

Error description

  • why the task status doesn't change after the parent changes
    status (please see attached screen shots with steps):
    
    create a work order called MAY
    In work order tab, tick the inherit status change checkbox
    In the Plans tab, Enter at least one task. Make sure the inherit
    status change from parent is checked on the task.
    
    Client uses workflow to change status.
    there is no change status icon on the toolbar or change status
    option from the Select action drop down
    
    Click the workflow icon to kick this record into workflow
    Go to select action, view workflow assignment
    
    note the first username in the View Workflow Assignments dialog
    box
    The username is Client1, password for this user is maximo
    
    
    login as Client1 / maximo (i.e. the first user in the
    workflow assignment list)
    bring up work order MAY
    click route icon
    
    select Send On action
    click OK
    select  approved for scheduling  action
    click OK
    
    Status of Parent goes to 'WMATL'. However,the status of the task
    remains 'WAPPR'
    
    Now login as maxadmin/maxadmin
    go to assignment manager
    bring up parent work order MAY
    assign to a labor
    start the assignment
    the status should be changed to  started
    go back to work order tracking app
    bring up work order MAY
    the parent status is now INPRG but the task work order is still
    WAPPR
    
    with work order MAY on the screen, click the workflow icon again
    Go to select action, view workflow assignment
    The username is DHEAD, password for this user is maximo
    
    
    login as dhead / maximo (i.e. the first user in the workflow
    assignment list)
    bring up work order May
    click the route icon to route the record
    
    
    select Complete Work Order
    
    The parent work order status has changed to COMP
    
    
    
    However, the status for the task work order remains WAPPR
    
    turn on escalation CGWOCLOSE to change the status from COMP to
    CLOSE via escalation
    
    
    the parent status is CLOSE but task work order status is WAPPR

  • Client has just advised that it's a Cargill issue, not a
    problem with the base product..  After they corrected the
    setting in DVL, the status is now being updated
