Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of Web Services with SSL on Sun * * Solaris and HP-UX platforms. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On Sun Solaris and HP-UX, if a * * message flow containing an HTTPInput * * node configured to use HTTPS is * * deployed to a Broker, the * * HTTPListener process logs a BIP3135S * * error reporting that algorithm * * SunX509 is not available for use. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If you deploy a message flow containing an HTTPInput node that has been configured to use SSL to a broker on Sun Solaris or HP-UX, a BIP3135S message is logged. This reports that an exception occurred whilst starting the servlet engine connector because the certificate encoding algorithm SunX509 is not available. On Sun Solaris and HP-UX, the broker lets the certificate encoding alogorithm default to SunX509, but on all Message Broker V6 platforms, IBM-developed security is shipped with the JRE and therefore algorithm IbmX509 is available and should be used.
Problem conclusion
The HTTPListener has been changed to use certificate encoding algorithm IbmX509 on all platforms.
