APAR status

  • Closed as documentation error.

Error description

  • AIX v5.3 now provides the ability to define userid with more
    than 12 characters.
    .
WMQ 5.3 / 6.0 does not implement this and continues to restrict
    userid to 12 characters.
    .
The 12 character limit for WMQ should be documented in the WMQ
    for AIX Quick Beginnings guides:
    .
      GC34-6076-02
WebSphere MQ for AIX Quick Beginnings Version 5.3
page 10, Setting up the user ID and group
    .
      GC34-6478-00
WebSphere MQ for AIX Quick Beginnings Version 6.0
page 8, Setting up the user ID and group ID
