Error description
Lotus Notes behavior file to eliminate noise when creating a new memo. Customer reports Lotus Notes behavior module is highly susceptible to noise from normal user interactions such as scrolling, highlighting, and tabbing. These interactions cause ETEWatch collector to generate multiple false transactions that are short (seconds and sub-seconds) which may collectively amount to a fewer number of real transactions.
Local fix
Modify the SDS_UPDATE to SDS_UPDATE = &SDS_NLNOTES,1,100, this will only record networked transactions in the collector, and so any transactions falsely started by a mouse click or keyboard will be eliminated.
Problem summary
LOTUS NOTES BEHAVIOR MODULE PRODUCES NOISE FROM NORMAL USER INTERACTIONS SUCH AS SCROLLING, HIGHLIGHTING, AND TABBING.
Problem conclusion
We can fix this in the behavior file. The real problem isn't the START occurring when a user clicks or hits the enter key when creating a new email, its the UPDATES that we get following the START. We are using some WM_USER messages as updates that look as if they are being generated after any mouse or keyboard activity when creating an email. I suggest we remove the following from the list of UPDATE messages UPDATE = 0x0454 UPDATE = 0x0462
