Error description

  • Error Message: The ORB code will thrown an OutOfMemoryError
while de-marshalling.

The server and client have different versions of the
custom-marshaled class which is being demarshaled.

Local fix

  • Ensure that the same versions of the class exist on both the
client and server side.

Problem summary

  • When demarshalling a custom-marshaled class which has different
versions on server and client, the orb code traverses a wrong
path and subsequently throws an OutOfMemory exception.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR10
.
The ORB code has been modified to identify the difference in the
custom-marshaled class version.
