IV99782: INVOCATIONTARGETEXCEPTION IN JSR 292 CODE
Closed as program error.
Error Message: An unexpected InvocationTargetException is thrown by the JVM. . Stack Trace: N/A . The problem can only occur when HCR (Hot Code Replace) is enabled and JSR 292 Java code is JIT compiled. Note that HCR is enabled and required when an agent is attached.
The issue can be avoided by disabling HCR with the option -XX:-EnableHCR. Note that HCR is required for java agents so the workaround is incompatible with the use of a java agent.
When the JVM attempts to compile methods containing JSR 292 calls with incorrect types and HCR is enabled, the type checks for the JSR 292 calls will be corrupted by the addition of HCR infrastructure.
The JIT compiler has been updated to avoid adding HCR infrastructure on the relevant JSR292 calls. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR5 (18.104.22.168) 7 R1 SR4 FP15 (22.214.171.124) 7 SR10 FP15 (126.96.36.199) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs. For those running stand-alone, information about the available Service Refreshes and Fix Packs can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/
