Error description
Error Message: Unexpected behaviour may occur when the wrong element is accessed due to the incorrect array index being used. Other symptoms not yet known may be possible. . Stack Trace: N/A . This problem only affects z Systems
Local fix
Problem summary
The JIT compiler uses unsigned integers in its internal representation of Java bytecodes. Sometimes these need to be converted to longs. The code generation was not correctly handling this case, therefore an incorrect number might result in the generated code. The only known symptom of this problem is for array accesses but other problems may be possible.
Problem conclusion
The JIT compiler has been updated to correctly handle unsigned integer to long conversion. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR5 (8.0.5.0) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
