IV95334: THE TRIRIGA DEFAULT SESSION_WARNING_ENABLED MESSAGE HAS CHOICES THAT DO NOT ACT IN THE WAY THE TEXT IN THE MESSAGE SAYS
Closed as fixed if next.
When SESSION_WARNING_ENABLED set to 'Y' in the TRIRIGAWEB.properties file a message like the following appears prior to the actual timeout: Message from webpage ==================== ? Your session expires at 01/03/2017 17:49:59 Click OK before your session expires to continue. If your session has expired, all unsaved work has been lost. Click OK to sign in. Click Exit to sign out. This message does not make sense and is confusing to users. Here are two examples of this: ==> The message tells the user to click 'OK' to sign in however the user is sent back to the home page. If the user session has expired, the user is still sent back to the home page but when trying to transact, is then redirected to login. ==> The message says to click 'Exit' to sign out and there is no 'Exit' choice. When the user clicks 'Cancel,' it does not actually sign the user out of the system.
Go into the WEB_MESSAGE table and use SQL to change 'SESSION_EXP_WARN_1 and/or 'SESSION_EXP_WARN_2' messages that appear.
Need to update the WEB_MESSAGE SESSION_EXP_WARN_2 to be clearer.
Revised the Session Expiration Warning message to make it clearer to the user what their next action is, or what would happen if they didn't act before the timeout happened This is targeted to the 1h2017 release.
UPDATE WEB_MESSAGE SET MESSAGE_TEXT = 'Click OK before your session expires to continue or Cancel to sign out. If the session has already expired, all unsaved work is already lost. If you click OK but the session is already expired, all unsaved work is already lost. You need to sign in again.' WHERE USE_NAME='SESSION_EXP_WARN_2' AND LANGUAGE_ID=1;
