APAR status

Error description

  • When adding member, if the value specified in '-m' option does
not match the case of hostname, db2iupdt may return the
following error:

ERROR: DBI20048E  The DB2 installation failed because an
adapter could
not be found to link to the cluster interconnect on one or more
hosts.
Hosts: "".

This is because '-m' option in db2iupdt is case sensitive. But
hostnames on supported OS are not case sensitives. Code needs
to be improved.

Local fix

  • Use the same case of hostname in '-m' option.
