Local fix
This problem can be avoided by using the following JVM option: -Xjit:disableMethodHandleThunks
Problem summary
The JIT compiler crashed while de-referencing an incorrectly initialized field of a data type, called method handle thunk, that is used to represent the call targets for invokedynamic bytecodes.
Problem conclusion
The JIT compiler has been modified to make sure the field is correctly initialized. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR4 FP1 (8.0.4.1) .
