APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When Maximo UI code detects that there is a problem with the
    network when XHR requests are made, it shows a message to the
    user indicating connection has been lost. After this message is
    shown, the code attempts to retry connecting to the server
    every 2 seconds and if the connection is established, it will
    remove the message and corrects the application state.
    
    In some cases, the 2 second retry logic does not get triggered
    and the message stays on forever, and the user has to force the
    browser refresh to continue using the application.
    
    Steps to replicate:
    
    1. Connect qa maximo server
    2. Put break point in sendXHRGet async.js
    3. Login into Maixmo
    4. Stop on the break point
    5. Disconnect the network
    6. Get Error and the code to invoke checkXHRLostConnection
    isabout to be called
    7. Put break point on the checkXHRLostConnection
    8. Connect the network
    9. Continue
    10. The connection lost message stays on forever.
