APAR status

Error description

• 1) Create a Capital Project after entering all the required
  field values.
  
  2) Click Schedule tab and add tasks to Project Tasks Gantt
  section or from Project Tasks section.
  
  3) Set dependency between all tasks.
  
  4) Open a task and set actual start date.  Save and close the
  record.
  
  5) Change either Plan Start/Plan End or Calculate Project From
  value so that Project task Gantt section shows either
  Constraints or dependency error.   If Calculated Project From
  is set to Start change the Plan Start date to a future date
  than the current Calculated start value.If Calculated Project
  From is set to End, prepone the Plan End date or set an earlier
  Plan End date than current Plan End date.
  
  6) Click Fix Constraints or dependency error icon and click
  Save icon in Gantt section. Open the task that has Actual Start
  date set in step #4.
  
  Issue: Actual Start date value is cleared.  If Gantt updates
  Planned Start date of a task while correcting invalid
  dependencies in Gantt section, then the Actual Start date value
  gets cleared.

Problem summary

• Actual % is 100% set the Actual Start Date, Actual End Date,
  Actual Working Hours, Actual Duration to Planned values
  Actual % is anything else > 0 set the Actual Start Date to the
  Planned Start Date.
  Actual % is 0 and Actual Start Date has a value set Actual
  Start Date to Planned Start Date otherwise leave it alone.
  

Problem conclusion

• Gantt Scheduler will honor business logic from Tasks to keep
  Actual Start and Planned Start Dates in sync unless the Actual
  Start date is cleared.
  This is targeted to the 1h2017 release.
