Error description

  • Error Message: N/A
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .
A Java exception handler receives either a null reference, or a
reference to an exception object other than the one just caught.

Local fix

  • The problem can be avoided by passing -Xjit:disableThrowToGoto.
This option may have a minor impact on performance, but it can
be restricted to the problematic method.

Problem summary

  • For an exception throw operation, the JIT compiler attempts to
statically determine the corresponding exception handler, and
optimize the throw into a direct jump if possible. If the
intermediate code contains a certain rare pattern of use of the
caught exception, this transformation could fail to properly
pass the exception object to the handler.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler has been modified so that the exception object will
be passed to the handler correctly.
