Error description
By removing the Active TRIRIGA User flag from an employee record which has been referenced in the task records, My Profile record is not successfully deleted correctly from the instance of workflow triPeople Synchronous Remove TRIRIGA User My Profile. The REMOVERECORD My Profile fails. It displays an error message This record cannot be transitioned into a null state because it is referenced in another record.

Problem summary
When the My Profile record referenced in a Task is de-activated through People record, the My Profile does not get deleted but is de-associated from People record. This will cause issue later when the My Profile record is re-activated through People record. The issue has been resolved by modifying the workflow to not de-associate the My Profile from People record unless the My Profile record is deleted. This issue will be resolved in our next major release version, which is tentatively planned for 1H 2017.
