IV91329: CAN'T ADD A NEW CONTACT FROM WITHIN A PURCHASE ORDER FORM - CAN ONLY USE EXISTING CONTACTS

Error description

  • When the client was running TRIRIGA 10.3 / 3.3.1, they were
    allowed to add a contact by performing the following steps:
    
      1. Log into TRIRIGA
      2.  Navigate to [Home] => Procurement => 'Requisitions &
           Purchase Orders' => 'Purchase Orders'
      3. Click to 'Add' a Purchase Order
      4. Go to the 'Contacts' section
      5. Click 'Add Person'
      6. Click 'Add'
    
    Starting in 3.5.1.1, with the platform fix to APAR IV85264
    (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IV85264)
    in place, there was no longer a way to perform step #6 (add a
    contact) without modifying the out-of-box product.   You could
    select an existing contact, but you could not add a new one.
    

Local fix

  • Modify the out-of-the-box 'triEmployee - Find with subreports'
    query, go to the 'Advanced tab, add a 'System Add' action, and
    re-save the query.
    

Problem summary

  • The Add action on Popup Query for Add Person section action
    under Contacts section of Purchase Order Form is no longer
    available. The issue has been resolved by creating new Popup
    Query and Related Reports with Add action on them. This issue
    will be resolved in our next major release version, which is
    tentatively planned for 1H 2017.
