Local fix
Problem summary
DatatypeConverter.printDateTime uses DataTyepeConverterImpl.formatTimeZone which is manually calculating the timeZone offset based on TimeZone.useDaylightTime() value. However if the ZoneInfo rule is undefined for the timezone the output of TimeZone.useDaylightTime() returns incorrect value.
Problem conclusion
DataTyepeConverterImpl.formatTimeZone has been modified to use TimeZone.getOffset() which calculates the offset based on the TimeZone. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 6 R1 SR8 FP45 (6.1.8.45) 6 SR16 FP45 (6.0.16.45) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
