APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The following output is received on the console:
    JVMDUMP030W Cannot write dump to file
       <non-existent path>/javacore.txt:
    A file  or directory in the path name does not exist.
    

Local fix

  • This issue can be worked around by using the corresponding UTF8
    charset of the locale.
    

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by invalid assumption with respect to the
    message charset encoding.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The JVM has been updated to process the messages according to
    native encoding charset.

    This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
       8    SR3 FP21  (8.0.3.21)
