    Steps to Reproduce:
    
    1. Go to People (SP) application and duplicate a name in the
    display name field. even if differerent details elsewhere
    
    2.Save changes
    
    3. GoTo Application Designer select Service Request (SP) and
    add SR.REPORTEDBYNAME field on UI in User information (You can
    skip this step if you have this field on
    UI):
    - Attribute: REPORTEDBYNAME
    - Lookup: PERSONNAME
    - Go To Application: Person
    - Menu Type: NORMAL
    4. Save the changes.
    5. Go to Service Request (SP) application and press "New Service
    Request" button
    6. In "Service Request" tab Go to "User Information" ->
    "Reported By" section.
    7. Use "Detail Menu" in field "Name (SR.REPORTEDBYNAME)" and
    press"Select value" to display "Select Value" dialog.
    8. In the dialog use filter and set value in "Name" field.
    9. You should see more than one person with the same name. 10.
    Choose SECOND person on the list
    10. Please see that "Phone" (SR.AFFECTEDPHONE) and E-mail (SR.
    AFFECTEDEMAIL) field in "Affected Person" section were
    automatically set with the values from the first person even
    though user selected second person

Problem conclusion

  • When you search for person using affected id or reported by id
    they do the query by personid that you select but when you do
    the search list from reported by name or affected by name they
    do the search by displayname in person table.
    So the set contains multiple values.
    Changed the search so one value was returned.
