Error description

• When performing a direct upgrade of an 8.5.1 MDM to 9.2 FP1+ or
  9.3 FP1+ the instance discovery fails if specific parameters
  are missing or if elements within a parameter are missing.
  Parameters may be missing if the MDM was upgraded to 8.5.1 from
  a version earlier than 8.5.
  1. If twsComponentList does not include EWas there will be a
  NullPointerException in IM logs.  For example:

  upgrade.</message>
  

Local fix

• Manually modify the appropriate 8.5.1 MDM
  /etc/TWA/twainstance#.TWA.properties file.
  1. Add EWas to the list of elements in twaComponentList if
  missing.
  2. Add DB2 to to the list of elements in twaComponentList if
  missing.  Also, add the following 7 DB2_ parameters.  Change
  the values to match your environment:
  DB2_version=9.7.0.11
  DB2_INSTANCE_PORT=50000
  DB2_basePath=/homt/db2inst1/sqllib
  DB2_ADMINISTRATOR_NAME=db2inst1
  DB2_IS_SERVER=true
  DB2_INSTANCE_NAME=db2inst1
  DB2_counter=1
