Error description
Error Message: Output is different between alternative JRE . Stack Trace: N/A .
Local fix
Problem summary
When XML serialized to a string or bytes new line character is not included after xml declaration. This behaviour is expected and code works as designed. There is no requirement for new line character in XML specification. Therefore, the serialized result can be different between alternative JRE.
Problem conclusion
New system property (org.apache.xml.serializer.NewLineAfterXMLDecl) introduced to enable the new line character after xml header, when property is set to true. Default value is false. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR9 FP40 (7.0.9.40) 6 SR16 FP25 (6.0.16.25) 6 R1 SR8 FP25 (6.1.8.25) 8 SR3 (8.0.3.0) 7 R1 SR3 FP40 (7.1.3.40) .
