IV80544: TRIRIGA 3.5 INSTALL FAILS IN WINDOWS IN KOREAN

Error description

  • Due to a defect in current installer used by TRIRIGA 3.5 it
    fails to install in Korean.
    
    The installer expects to receive a message back from WebSphere
    startup to continue installation. It waits for the message to
    be "IS STARTING", but in Korean WAS sends just "STARTING" as
    the message and the installer fails installation with message
    stating WAS has not started.
    

Local fix

  • There is no workaround for this APAR
    

Problem summary

  • An issue has been resolved when using the TRIRIGA installer to
    connect to a WebSphere instance to see if it is started while
    in a Korean OS.  The string returned in Korean is STARTED, the
    installer was looking for "IS STARTED"
    This is targeted to the 1H2016 release.
