Using -Xnoaot will prevent the memory leak from occurring.
Problem summary
Under the -Xshareclasses option, the JIT allocates a resource at thread creation time that is never freed resulting in a slow but unbounded memory leak.
Problem conclusion
The JIT has been fixed to free the allocated resource at the appropriate time. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR3 FP30 (7.1.3.30) 8 SR2 FP10 (8.0.2.10) .
