IV78782: TWS MDM FIXPACK CAN NOT BE ROLLED BACK TO THE PREVIOUS LEVEL.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The after applying TWS MDM engine side fixpack, there is no
    method to rollback to the previous level.
    
    The customer should be able to rollback to the previous level,
    if necessary.
    

Local fix

  • Make a system backup before applying a fixpack.
    

Problem summary

  • The installation process will be changed to allow the rollback
    from:
    - 9.1 FP4 (and next fixpacks) to 9.1 FP3
    - 9.2 FP4 (and next fixpacks) to 9.2 FP3
    - 9.3 FP4 (and next fixpacks) to 9.3 FP3
    

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR will be fixed in 9.1.0-TIV-TWS-FP0004,
    9.2.0-TIV-TWS-FP0004, 9.3.0-TIV-TWS-FP0004
