APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: JVM crashes with a GPF and the javacore indicates
the crashing thread is a JIT compilation thread.
System core file analysis will find that the crash was caused by
a TR_Node for aRegStore with 2 children, the second of which is
a bad pointer.

Local fix

  • The problem can be avoided by using the option
-Xjit:disableFieldPrivatization

Problem summary

  • The problem was caused due to incomplete handling of a
particular corner case of an optimization.

Problem conclusion

  • The JIT has been updated to handle this case.

   7 R1 SR3 FP20  (7.1.3.20)
