IV78389: UNEXPECTED CRASH OR EXCEPTION IN VICINITY OF A CALL TO OBJECT.CL ONE
Closed as program error.
Error Message: Either a JVM crash, with vmstate=0x0, or an unexpected Java exception are seen in customer code near a call to Object.clone. . Stack Trace: N/A . N/A
Using the JVM option -Xjit:disableGlobalVP,diableLocalVP will cause this failure to stop occurring. The use of this option may cause a significant degradation in performance to be seen, and is expected to at least noticeably reduce the performance of most workloads.
A JIT compiler optimization contained code that incorrectly optimized calls to java.lang.Object.clone in specific circumstances.
The problematic JIT compiler optimization was corrected to ensure that calls to java.lang.Object.clone are handled correctly in all cases. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR2 (126.96.36.199) 7 R1 SR3 FP20 (188.8.131.52) 7 SR8 (184.108.40.206) .
