IV76241: JVM CRASHES IN JIT COMPILED METHOD
Closed as program error.
Error Message: N/A . Stack Trace: N/A . N/A
A crash in JIT compiled Java code can happen if a global register dependency is missing, causing the compiler to not preserve a value which is later needed, resulting it in being overwritten. The problem was observed to have happened shortly after a STOC instruction which is infrequently generated on the z Systems platform.
The JIT compiler has been updated to avoid the problem by disabling the use of the STOC instructions. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 6 R1 SR8 FP15 (188.8.131.52) 7 SR9 FP20 (184.108.40.206) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs. For those running stand-alone, information about the available Service Refreshes and Fix Packs can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/
