The platform-specific com.ibm.security.auth.OS390UserPrincipal
and com.ibm.security.auth.module.OS390LoginModule shipped in
z/OS have been replaced by non-platform-specific
com.ibm.security.auth.UsernamePrincipal and
com.ibm.security.auth.module.JAASLoginModule. OS390UserPrincipal
and OS390LoginModule have been deprecated to indicate this.

Problem conclusion

  • JAAS has been enhanced so that the Principal names and
LoginModule name are now platform independent.   The platform
specific Principal and LoginModule names have been deprecated
and may be removed in the future.

   8    SR2       (8.0.2.0)
   7    SR9 FP20  (7.0.9.20)
