APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: JVMSHRC442E Shared cache "cacheName" is corrupt.
    JVMSHRC241E Error: unable to delete shared class cache file
    JVMSHRC336E Port layer error code = -308
    JVMSHRC337E Platform error message: No such file or directory
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .
    The cache corruption is detected by multiple JVMs but only one
    JVM continues to start up.
    

Local fix

  • Try starting up the other JVMs again.
    

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when multiple JVMs are starting up on the
    same shared cache and detect cache corruption at the same time.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The JVM has been updated to continue starting up when the
    corrupted cache is already deleted.
    .
