APAR status

Error description

  • TDWC allows Unicode 0x1a in job commands yet subsequent composer
validate fails.Users inadvertently add this character while
editing a job definition through TDWC and the HTML validation
allows it, and it successfully goes into the database. Dumping
the job definition and running a composer validate against it
throws the following error:

AWSJCL306E The following error has occurred with the syntax of
the created XML file: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x1a)
was found in the value of attribute "exec" and element is "task"
