Error description
Error Message: The JVM crashes with a Floation Point error ABEND in a method which has a call to com/ibm/dataaccess/DecimalData.convertPackedDecimalToInteger. . Stack Trace: N/A . The problem only happens when the parameters passed to the call to com/ibm/dataaccess/DecimalData.convertPackedDecimalToInteger will raise an exception.
Local fix
This issue can be worked around using the -Xjit:disableIntrinsics option. Note however that the addition of this option may degrade performance.
Problem summary
The problem is caused when the accelerated fallback path of the Data Access Accelerator API is out of range of a branch instruction.
Problem conclusion
The JIT Compiler has been patched to prevent the crash from occurring. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR3 (7.1.3.0) .
