APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: Exception in thread 'Thread-19856'
java.lang.OutOfMemoryErrorat
java.util.zip.Inflater.inflateBytes(Native Method)at

Local fix

  • The issue can happen only when using AOT code (enabled by the
-Xshareclasses command line option) and can be circumvented by
using -Xnoaot command line option.

Problem summary

  • In some instances, the finalizer code is not called due to the
wrong AOT code generated by the JIT compiler. This can lead to a
memory leak which in turn can lead to a OOM condition.

Problem conclusion

  • The JIT compiler has been modified so that the finalizer code is
called when needed.

   7 R1 SR3       (7.1.3.0)
