APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: A SIGSEGV/GPF is received from jitted code, while
accessing an invalid address.

Local fix

  • No known workaround.

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when optimizer transforms an indirect load
chain, int64 was mistakenly treated as int32. The high order of
int64 is lost after the transformation.

Problem conclusion

  • JIT has been updated to load full int64 for indirect load chain
transformation.

This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
   7 R1 SR3       (7.1.3.0)
