Users affected: Platform affected: All (Windows + Linux) Version affected: All Component: Broker, Target, CLI Problem description: Incorrect checking in the name resolution part of some of the components results in hostnames starting with a numerical digit to be incorrectly interpreted as an already-resolved IP address. This will cause the connection to fail and hence the component (broker, target or CLI) will be unable to communicate with the given host. Problem summary: The broker and target components of IBM Endpoint Manager for Remote Control will fail to communicate with a server or broker that has a hostname that starts with a numerical digit. This will present itself in the target unsuccessfully registering with a server and users unable to create both managed and broker sessions.
