Customer reported that, the current display name for
"Australia/Sydney" timezone is "Eastern Standard Time/Eastern
Daylight Time" whereas the correct display name should have been
"Australian Eastern Standard Time/Australian Eastern Daylight
time.

Problem summary


    

  • The Olson timezone database (http://www.iana.org/time-zones)
updated the timezone display names after tzdata2014f version.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • JDK has been updated to comply with Olson standard for timezone
display names.
