APAR status

Error description

  • Customer installed the LA patch:
    
    
    7.2.4.4-TIV-TSAM-LA0025 to the customer (APAR IV60968)
    
    This LA patch solved the customer issue, however it seems that
    introduced a new issue.
    
    Problem description from customer:

    However during testing .. we have a new issue with the new
    ITMSync code
    delivered with the previous PMR 20183,999,866
    
    
    The problem now is to do with CASE of the servernames.
    
    In TSAM Windows Servers are lower case.
    In ITM Windows Servers are in upper case.
    
    The new code looks to match the names and is clearly case
    sensitive as
    the logs shows it is not matching when the case of the hostnames
    do not
    match
    
    e.g. in TSAM hostname = abc1234 and in ITM hostname = ABC1234.
    
    This is only an issue currently with Windows servers - as Linux
    servers
    are lower case in both TSAM and ITM.
    
    This is not allowing windows servers to work correctly and speak
    with
    ITM.
    There are over 100 windows servers on our environment.

Problem conclusion

  • * RECOMMENDATION:
    Apply LA fix 7.2.4.4-TIV-TSAM-LA0042 to solve the problem.
