IV69621: REMOTE CONTROL SERVER LOSES ADMINISTRATION CONFIGURATION, PERMISSIONS ARE LOST

Error description

• Customer is experiencing a random issue where target group
  permissions get lost rendering their users able to login into
  the IBM Endpoint Manager for Remote Control server but unable to
  take remote control of any of their assigned targets.

  Problem description:
  During an LDAP synchronisation, an existing group can
  erroneously be deleted and thus lose any permissions that had
  been setup. This is a result of intermittent network error
  occurring during the synchronisation phase, causing a group to
  be incorrectly identified as no longer existing. An error is
  noticeable in the logs during LDAP synchronisation showing a
  database connection error.
  
  
  Problem summary:
  During an LDAP synchronisation an error connecting to the
  database can happen. This error is reported in the logs. The
  result of this temporary error is that a group can be
  erroneously determined as being no longer in LDAP and the group
  is deleted from the database along with any permissions. On a
  subsequent resynchronisation the group is added back (however
  now has no permissions) and the end user only sees the
  permissions have been lost.
  The fix has improved error detection during synchronisation, and
  if detected, the LDAP synchronisation is aborted without
  deleting groups
